St. George's Day 2007
This year it was the Spilsby Group that organised the event. This was held at The Lincolnshire Aviation Centre on Sunday 22nd April 2007. The service was performed by Father Peter Coates. The hymn that was sung whilst the standards were presented was "He's got the whole world in his hand", during the collection the hymn was "When a knight won his spurs". "Sing Hosanna" was sung whilst the standards were returned. The beaver scout promise was read by Judy Elsom, the Cub Scout promise was read by Margaret Jarvis and the Scout promise was read by John Baxter.

After the event refreshments were served and to the delight of the scouts the Spitfire took off and when it returned gave a little display.

Pictured here are the Sea Scouts with Mr. Panton one of the brothers who formed the centre in memory of their eldest brother Christopher Whitton Panton; who was shot down and killed on a bomber raid over Nuremberg on 30th/31st March 1944.
